I interned at GAMUCATEX for 8 weeks, and while there, I designed many things for the game. I designed a new deck builder UI and UX, and a new deck selection screen UI and UX; the wireframes I created can be seen below.
Furthermore, I was part of the task force for developing faction identities, and I did a lot of research into how to improve the game via various approaches taken from RTS games and turn-based strategy games.

My most significant contribution to TECTONICUS is my redesign of its deck builder. For this, I first did a lot of research on contemporary deck builders in games. I documented all my research and also made a thorough analysis of the existing deck builder in the game, where I identified its weaknesses and strengths.
My process for designing the wireframes for the new deck builder was to identify the exact issues I wanted to address and then identify ways that I had observed through my research into other games that could address those issues. There was a lot of back and forth where I presented a wireframe and received feedback about features to add or aspects to change, which I would then address in the next iteration of the wireframe. The largest aspect of this process was the thorough documentation I was asked to maintain on the wireframe and its proposed functionality.
I made sure to document all wireframes to this standard and to update the requirements for the buttons as I received feedback on the various aspects of the UI.
Along with my redesign of the deck builder, I also designed various smaller proposals for improvements to the game experience.
For example, I designed a proposal for adding a targeting indicator to the game so that when the player uses a card which targets other cards in the game the player is able to see which cards are targeted by the effect.
I also proposed designs for a better deck selection screen, a way of showing how a card will move before placing it, a way of showing which cards will be hit by ranged cards, how to show tooltips for a card after it has been placed.
For all of these aspects, I maintained thorough documentation and made sure to incorporate feedback from the team into the iterations of my design proposals.
